The museum has teamed up with the North East Horticultural Society for this annual event, taking place on the museumβs Events Field, which will see fierce, friendly competition at the museum as a vast array of vegetables, flowers and crafts are put forward to be judged.

Atchin-tanΒ in Romani, the language of the Romany Gypsies, means βstopping placeβ. Using the museumβs Bow Top living wagon and our 1950s caravan we will be recreating a stopping place at Spainβs Field Farm.
Music will be performed by band members of Northern Roots β Bill Elliott and Kevin Youldon β with occasional guests and friends.
