Weβre hosting a gathering of the regionβs small pipe players to showcase the music and the sound of this extra-ordinary instrument.
Music will be performed by band members of Northern Roots β Bill Elliott and Kevin Youldon β with occasional guests and friends.
This challenging 150-mile run will see cars, motorcycles and commercial vehicles registered before 1956 leave the museum first thing and drive through the stunning countryside of Durham and Yorkshire, before returning to the museum at the end of the day.
Weβll be joined by The North of England Classic & Pre-War Automobiles Club with an incredible display of classic vehicles on our Events Field near the Fairground.
Itβs the battle of the brass bands, as groups from the North East compete to be determined the best.
Head to The 1900s Pit Village band hall where music group Kiddars Luck will be hosting the Pit Village Music Hall from 11.30am-2.30pm, a musical celebration of the North East, including clog dancing and a surprise guest or two!
Join us for a Festival of Transport as part of May Half Term!
