They will meet the farming staff, mix and make their carrot cookies before cooking them and tasting them next to the coal fire.
Meeting at The 1940s Farm, the children will be set the task of preparing and mixing all the ingredients. They will follow the recipe, and each have their individual bowl. Accompanying staff will be able to use hand over hand techniques to ensure all children physically engage in the making of the mixture.

The session will focus on having a go at working with clay in the Georgian pottery. We will briefly talk about what life was like 200 years ago and see the types of items made by different skilled crafts people.
